Three weeks has passed since I arrived here in Germany. From then on it was a roller coaster ride for me. It was my first time for everything. First time out of my home country, first time living alone, first time in a new continent on the other side of the world.
I never really expected to be here. Expectations were already set that I will not be given the assignment. Time changes everything right? I was part excited and afraid when I was given the news that I will be going to Europe to do some work for three months. Started trembling when I said 'yes, I want it' for a tons of questions raced to my mind: "will I survive there? What if I got lost? What about communication? What will I eat?" Simple questions though. But my principle with such new things is: "Try things out first, If it goes well, good. If not, too bad".
It's been three weeks since I've been here in Germany. Three weeks of living alone in a flat; terribly missing my family and friends back home. But all is well. I had two of my colleagues here, met a bunch of Filipinos living here and tried new things out. It is fun and Europe is breathtaking. But I just wish I have the special persons here with me.
I'll be back here again one day bringing them along. Someday. Labels: Frankfurt, Germany, life |
